Humble human, parent, partner, director, teacher, coach, student - Clare Mottola (she/her) continues to marry her seemingly unlikely professional paths.

Amidst a long and winding career as a theatre artist and educator, Clare felt called to the mat. She first dipped a toe into Yoga in 2004, but life’s twists and turns pulled her away. The loss of a parent and the birth of a child within the same year left her too overwhelmed to even fathom “sitting with self.” Silly Clare.

It wasn’t until her second son was born in 2007 that she truly followed the call—leading her to study with greater discipline, practice more fully, and eventually teach and coach.

Clare is now a 200-hour Certified Yoga Teacher and a Certified Professional Life Coach, working with students and clients of all ages and backgrounds.

Clare’s teaching, coaching, and practice reflect the inextricable marriage of mind, body, breath, and heart. She seeks to co-create space—on and off the mat—that is equitable, courageous, playful, and full of radical love.

She hopes her students and clients take the time to recognize the courage, wisdom, and beauty they already hold—while delighting in the gratitude and peace these practices offer. Her students and clients are her greatest teachers, and she is deeply humbled by the lessons they continue to share.

Trainings include: Mindful Leadership Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, Interaction Institute for Social Change: Racial Justice Facilitator Training, Mindful Schools, and teachings from Jack Kornfield, Jon Kabat-Zinn, Dan Siegel, Ethan Nichtern, and more.

“Working with Clare is like having a mirror that reflects the best parts of yourself back to you. Even my negative self-talk was given a kinder and more supportive voice when played back for me through Clare’s wise reframing. Clare is an excellent moderator of group coaching, allowing for those in the group to inspire each other while at the same time giving each participant personal time to reflect, share, and receive feedback. The “homework” after each session really got me out of my head and into an actionable space. It was amazing to see the coaching work take shape into something tangible after only a few sessions. Working with Clare felt safe, authentic, and inspiring.”

“Clare is by far one of my all-time favorite humans - so as you can imagine, I LOVE her as an instructor. She brings me back to earth in my mind, and my body somehow lands there too in just a few minutes of being guided by her voice. There is something so magical about all teachings by Clare Mottola - whatever chance you can get to learn from her, do it now (mindfully, of course!).”
